Share a Kitchen with Chef Guggenheimer - Tuesday Feb 22
Ever dream of sharing a kitchen with an accomplished restaurant chef? Well now you can, and you can do it in a Chef Daniel Boulud kitchen.
Enjoy a private cooking lesson for eight, plus dinner with db bistro moderne Chef de Cuisine Nathen Guggenheimer.
Share inspiration and a professional kitchen with one of Vancouver's best chefs, and learn first-hand what goes on behind the scenes and on the line.
Nathan invites you to rendezvous with him next door, in the kitchen of our sister restaurant Lumière, at 4:30 pm on Tuesday, February 22nd.
Lumière is closed Mondays and Tuesdays for private parties, so you and seven others will have the kitchen, and Nathan all to yourselves.
After the class, sit down with Nathan in the Private Dining room and share the evening, and the delicious meal you made together.
Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush will arrange gorgeous wines to pair, beginning of course with our much-loved Cremant d'Alsace.
Learn what inspires a market-fresh meal and how a seasonal menu comes together. Classes are very hands-on and participants will learn techniques they can easily master and use at home. Cooking classes sell out very quickly, so be sure to reserve a spot early and avoid disappointment. If this date sells out, please consider booking the next scheduled class or send an email request to be wait-listed.
Nathan plans a sophisticated yet simple menu, perfect for entertaining at home and using readily accessible west coast ingredients. The three-course menu will be published closer to the date. Detailed take-home recipes will be provided.
Space is extremely limited
(no more than 8 guests in the kitchen) so be sure to book your seat today. The cost to attend and for dinner is a modest $165 per person for the cooking lesson, and a three course dinner with wines paired by Sommelier Kevin Van Hullebush. Tax and gratuity not included.
To reserve, inquire, or order a Cooking Class Gift Card please call General Manager Chris González at 604.739.7115 or via email. A credit card reservation is required at time of booking.
*An $85 per person dinner-only companion fare is being offered for friends, family and spouses. Companion fare excludes cooking lessons, but includes full service of the three-course dinner you help prepare, with the paired wines. Taxes and gratuity not included.

"I am not a Chef, barely even a cook to be honest, but I attended the cooking class at the insistence of my wife. It 'really' was fabulous. I had so much fun and I learned how to prepare the dishes in spite of myself. The wine pairings were perfect and there was so much food. So, she was right ... again" -- AVM
